E-SRF (EKC's Security Reporting Facility)
Security Signature Analysis Reporting
When do you need to find programs that perform security functions?
After changes have been made
When Updating Security
When implementing role modeling (or when remodeling)
Why do you need to locate these programs?
To keep the system working correctly
How do you locate these programs?
E-SRF's Security Signature Analysis Reporting feature!
How does it work?
This feature was specifically developed to locate programs with security-related functions.
It calls and works for libraries of all types-no matter how many have accumulated!
Source code, object libraries, or load modules may be searched.
As the sole purpose of this E-SRF Signature Reporting program is to locate programs
in librbaries that are performing security-type functions,
any programs containing traces of "security" types of information will be flagged and reported.
This facility scans programs in order to search for those that may be specifically invoking IBM-RACF,
CA-ACF2, CA-TopSecret, or just performing general security functions.
These scanning functions are particularly useful in locating legacy code performing security calls
(especially if the source code is no longer available).
